AW Home Care is certified to provide services to Colorado Medicaid Long Term Care clients. We will work with your case manager to design and provide the non-medical care that you request and require. We also provide non-medicaid services to private pay clients and will bill you, your insurance, or another person or organization authorized to pay for your services.
Private duty services are not always covered by insurance. We will help you determine whether or not your care is a covered benefit. If you do have insurance coverage, AW Home Care will bill your insurance company directly. If you can qualify for Medicaid Long Term care, we will help you with the necessary paperwork to file for those benefits.
Please call if you have any questions. We are here to help you, and we want to.
AW Home Care, Inc. is now affiliated with A Place for Mom. This is a national referral network specializing in senior living and care companies, which screens, qualified, and directs your request for help to the appropriate care provider. We are looking forward to a continuing relationship with them. Please look for our web page on www.aplaceformom.com.
The following link will take you to a page put out by the Alzheimer's Association that offers resources to children and teens who are dealing with a family member or friend with Alzheimer's Disease. http://www.alz.org/living_with_alzheimers_just_for_kids_and_teens.asp
Do you care for a relative who is elligible for Medicaid services? If so, you may be in a position to receive payment for some of those hours that you spend caring for your loved ones personal care needs. Please call Amy at 720-870-7033 and ask for more information on the Relative Care Program.
We have received many requests in addition to the standard ones. These requests include, but are not limited to providing in-home manicures and pedicures, giving haircuts, doing extensive yard work, minor home repairs, providing help in organization (garages, home offices, play areas, and craft rooms), tree trimming, and providing some serious house cleaning. As a result, we have hired and trained additional staff and we have assembled a list of well qualified, licensed, and insured contractors to provide some of these additional services. When we receive a request for additional services we listen carefully to your needs, view the potential project and then either assigned one of our qualified employees or forward the lead to a qualified contractor to give you an estimate to complete the job.
Home Care Agencies are licensed and regulated by the State of Colorado and traditionally provide services to post-surgical, disabled, or elderly individuals needing support with their activities of daily living. These activities include personal care (bathing, skin care, basic hair care and dressing); light housekeeping and laundry; meal preparation and medication reminders; transportation to medical or other appointments, general companionship and respite care. Some also provide short notice day care for mildly ill children. There are limits to the care that we can provide. Once the required care becomes more medical in nature, we need to coordinate with a home health agency to provide the next level of care. Therefore, AW Home Care has partnered with a good local home health agency to quickly and efficiently transition to the next level.
We are always looking for experienced and qualified personal care workers. Additionally, we are looking for people to provide extensive yard care in the summer and snow removal in the winter, handy-men willing to install grab bars in the bathroom, shower hoses, raise beds, and complete minor home repairs, people experienced in organization, and people willing to help with heavy duty house cleaning.
Many of us take for granted our ability to take care of ourselves, take care of our home, and provide transportation to and from our activities. However, if you think about it, you probably know a family member, friend, or neighbor who struggles with these and other activities. Let them know that help is just a phone call away. Please feel free to visit our website at AWHomeCare.com or contact us at 720-870-7033. We are here to answer your questions or provide the help you need. How can we help you?
